Lesson learned.
Cross GE off my list of brands to buy.
Gotcha.

On the other hand -
Progress is happening on the kitchen project. Last night, the cute guy tore out the carpet in front of the washer. We put that carpet in - there was already some dreadful carpet in here when we moved in, but we replaced it as one of our early home improvement project. That was over 30 years ago, so there was a huge layer of very fine dirt that had sifted through the jute backing and through the padding. After shoveling out an inch of dirt, we found the red and gold 1940s linoleum from the kitchen was under the carpet pad. Sadly, when we pulled up the linoleum, we found more of the painted plank wood flooring - every time we strip away multiple layers of floor covering, I keep hoping to find nice hardwood floors hidden someplace.
No such luck, however.
I would love to have beautiful shiny oak floors. I would even like to find cherry or walnut or something, but all we have ever found is panted pine. If I did not know my hubby so well, I would have insisted on a hardwood floor in the dining room. However, we all have our limitations, and he would have come unglued the first time somebody scooted a chair across the wood floor and scratched it. Wood does scratch. Life happens. Tile will be a much safer choice. This stuff we ordered is supposed to be practically indestructible, and since I do tend to drop stuff, that is a good plan. I know ceramic tile would be a mistake, because I would drop something and break it before the first month was out. The tile guy promises me this stuff will hold up, so cross your fingers!
